Terms of Service

The English version of this document is the authoritative version and applies in all regions.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SunTrace mobile app (the "App") provided by MintSoft ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

SunTrace visualizes the sun and moon path, sunrise and sunset times, golden and blue hours, weather, UV, aurora, and related information for locations you choose. Some features are available for free with ads, and additional features are available through the SunTrace Pro subscription.

2. Informational Use Only

Astronomical calculations, weather, UV, aurora, terrain, and map information in the App are estimates based on mathematical models and third-party data sources. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed.

The App is provided for informational and recreational purposes only. Do not rely on it for navigation, aviation, maritime, mountaineering, medical (including sun exposure and UV protection), or any other safety-critical decisions. Always check official sources and use your own judgment, and follow local laws and safety guidance when photographing or traveling outdoors.

3. SunTrace Pro Subscription

  • SunTrace Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. The available subscription periods and prices are shown in the App before you purchase and may vary by country.
  • Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and you are charged at the end of the trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account (App Store) or your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase or when the free trial ends.
  • Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings: on iOS, Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
  • If you cancel, you keep access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies; we cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com (App Store) or the Google Play refund page.
  • You can restore an active subscription on a new or reinstalled device using "Restore Purchases" in the App with the same Apple ID or Google account.
  • We may change subscription features or prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance as required by Apple or Google, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by third parties. Please see our Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled and how to control ad tracking.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the App or its servers, circumvent subscription or ad features, or use the App in a way that could harm others. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including laws on privacy, trespassing, and photography, when using the App.

6. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Data

The App, including its design, graphics, and software, is owned by MintSoft and is licensed to you, not sold, for personal, non-commercial use. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors and OpenFreeMap, and weather data by Open-Meteo, and remains subject to their respective licenses and terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App or third-party data sources will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MintSoft will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information provided by the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and Termination

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the effective date; continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature, and we may suspend access for violations of these Terms.

10. App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. If you downloaded the App from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
